Oak Harbor

Oak Harbor is located 15 minutes south of Deception Pass State Park. Oak Harbor features beautiful state parks, the PBY-Naval Air Museum, as well as farms and many different types of shops. Oak Harbor is Whidbey Island's largest incorporated city (located in Island County). Named for the Garry Oak trees which grace its skyline, the city's growth coincided with two major events: the building of Deception Pass Bridge on July 31, 1935, and the completion of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island on September 21, 1942. Oak Harbor sits on the northern part of Whidbey island on the Skagit bay side and attracts many different types of people.
