ANACORTES, WA—July 2022
Gavin Lang, only 18 years old, just achieved three major accomplishments. He graduated from high school, also earned his Associate of Arts degree, and pocketed his real estate license.
Upon high school graduation, some might say, welcome to the real world. But Gavin has been living, experiencing and working in that real world for awhile.
Of course, you associate his name with a big brand known in Anacortes, throughout Skagit County, and across Washington State. Because he’s the newly licensed assistant for a family business: Team Kelli Lang.
That means, at work, he’ll be calling the woman who has grown TKL, not mom, but boss.
Learning the basics
“I’m in the office, busy with the basics,” Gavin offers humbly. “I’m assisting brokers and learning about marketing. I’m also wrapping my head around all the online programs and platforms.” Hello, MLS, Booj, Pipeline, and more.
As a broker, Gavin will begin working with buyers. And that feels like a fit for him. “I’m a people person,” he says.
Sounding already like a thoughtful broker, he adds, “The most interesting work is to find people not just any home but the right home.”
Gavin will have deep resources to accomplish his work.
Dedicated, fun brokers are serious producers
Year after year, TKL puts up impressive numbers. Just published by Real Trends/America’s Best List: TKL ranks an impressive #4 for volume and #2 for sides in Washington (for medium-sized teams, 2021 data). Teams ranked are among the top 1.5% of real estate pros in the US.
Blake Boatman, RE/MAX Gateway founder and owner is also grateful for TKL on his all-star roster of brokers. When he announced TKL among the top producers for 2021, he said, “Every single day, Kelli Lang and her team produce. They are amazing.”
Armed with his realtor license and the biz basics, Gavin also understands the unwritten rules of working in his family’s company: work harder than those hired from the outside. Don’t park in your managing broker’s parking space (ahem). Gather the lockboxes and haul the for-sale signs. Gavin gets it.
Who he is and where he’s at
Congratulations to Gavin for graduating from Anacortes High School, earning your first college degree from Skagit Valley College, and achieving your real estate license in May 2022!
When not working, Gavin is hanging out with friends, enjoying Lake Campbell, as well as surfing and swimming, boating and hiking.
With work and play, friends and family, he sounds like a Total Kindred Loyalist. That’s gold for TKL.
